team-1Dave Carlson, Founder / CEO

Dave Carlson has been driving the vision and development of collaborative Shopper Marketing systems for the FMCG retail industry for over 20 years. He has an extensive network of industry connections with the leading evangelists, consultancies, and technology suppliers that define and enable best practice Shopper Marketing. Dave co-founded Relevance Partners following his tenure as SVP of Retail Systems for InStore Broadcasting Network, where he led content relevance and integration.

Prior to IBN, Dave returned to Information Resources (IRI) where he architected and managed development and implementation of its “Cofinity” loyalty analytics application. He was co-founder and CIO of 1.2.1 eMarketing an early entrant in customer loyalty systems. Dave served as President of IRI’s $60MM Software division.

He has designed and delivered business intelligence applications used by most US CPG manufacturers and retailers. Dave holds an MBA from the University of Connecticut and a BS in Marketing from Northeastern University.

team-2Eric Friedman, Founder / CTO

Eric Friedman is a noted big data analytics guru and a leading authority in the design, implementation of, and end-user interfaces to Very Large Data Bases (VLDB), with specific focus on Loyalty Marketing to deliver Business Intelligence and Operational Advantage. He is a renowned CPG / Retail industry visionary and organizational leader delivering leading edge solutions, on time and on budget, to the world’s largest retailers and vendors.

Before co-founding Relevance Partners, Eric worked with Safeway Inc., where he owned the design, prototyping and scaled implementation of Safeway’s FoodFlex™ Nutritional Analysis web site based on individual customer shopping history. Preceding this, Eric spent 3 years working with IBM, Siebel, Fujitsu, Symbol (Motorola), Oracle and major grocery retailers to create a state-of-the-art, transaction-based Customer KnowledgeBase™ and Relevance Engine™. He formerly was CIO of HealthScout / Rx Remedy and SVP of IRI’s national Application Consulting practice.

Eric began his career at Kraft / General Foods in marketing analysis and test marketing, then created Acustar™, a prominent CPG marketing BI application which was sold and supported by Tymshare, Inc. Eric holds an MBA from Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College and an AB in Mathematics from Dartmouth College.

team-3Roger Bennetts, Founder / App Dev

Roger Bennetts has a unique ability to synthesize large data for all to easily understand and act on. He focuses on identifying client database/software needs and transforming those requirements into profitable opportunities supported by practical, leveragable software products.

Roger consulted through EYC Ltd. on strategic customer marketing analytics for Safeway Inc. Roger ran a team of 14 specialists, including sales, project management and application/database design/development resources as VP of Custom Applications at Information Resources, Inc.. His team successfully met the demands of his regional customer base by extending IRI’s foundational offerings to include new tools and services.

Roger holds an MBA from The Stern School at New York University, after receiving a BS from the University of Connecticut College of Engineering.
